What this page does

The string art studio runs entirely inside your browser. Your photo is read, cropped and converted to a thread path on your own device. Nothing is uploaded while you are experimenting, and if you never press “Send my design”, nothing ever leaves your computer.

What we store, and only if you send it

When you press “Send my design” we store: the name you typed, your email and note if you filled them in, the photo you uploaded, the cropped version the studio used, the preview image, the nail sequence needed to wind the piece, and the date. Nothing else. The photo’s metadata — camera model, time, and the GPS coordinates of where it was taken — is discarded in your browser and never sent at all. There are no analytics, no advertising trackers and no cookies beyond the one that remembers your language.

Why

So that the piece you ordered on Etsy is made from the picture you actually approved, rather than from a guess.

Who sees it

Only MarcPrintsLab. The files sit in a private Cloudflare bucket that is not reachable from the open internet, and they are never sold, shared or used to train anything.

How long

Twelve months, then designs are deleted automatically. You can ask for yours to be deleted sooner at any time — quote your reference (the MPL- code) and it will be removed, along with every image, within a few days.

Photographs of people

Most photos sent here are of a person. Please only upload a photo of someone who is happy for you to do so.
